While I am happy with my original BluMe HD and how it works, I decided to upgrade to the BluMe Pro. It was difficult to know if doing this was going to provide the results I was seeking, but I am glad I upgraded. My HD still works, and can be used elsewhere.
At low to moderate volumes and/or with a basic stereo and speaker system, you will probably not detect that much of a performance difference between the two units, in my opinion. On the other hand, once the volume is cranked up AND while using a high-performance stereo system and speakers, the extra features and capabilities of the Pro can be detected. The recording quality of the input signal also makes a difference. The Pro's nuances and sonic details provided by the ESS SABRE DA Converter, the wider dynamic range, and the better s/n ratio are apparent under these conditions. Again, this is NOT to say the HD is not impressive or good in its own right - it is. There is a price difference between the two, so there should be a performance difference, too.
From a feature standpoint, upgrading to the the Pro was very nice. The front OLED panel shows the bit rate, which CODEC is being used, and the "dancing" bars provide confirmation that the incoming signal is being received and processed. Hookup was a cinch and I used the cord and cables which were already in place from the HD installation. You will not go wrong with either device, but if you can spend the extra $50 or so for the Pro, it is probably worth doing so.
This is a great device! Very easy to connect. As far as sound quality, I have not evaluated at this time but upon initial listening I can say it has large frequency range.
This small devise connects easily and allows my old reclever ro play directly fm my phone. Sirius radio too!
I was intimidated by the technology and put off the thought of adding a DAC to my prized vintage receivers for a really long time, but as it turned out it was a LOT easier than I expected.
You'd think Auris would provide a video URL link to fully document how to go about hooking up your new purchase, but they don't. -Go figure...
The documentation is fairly easy to comprehend, and YouTube had all of just two examples on the BluMe Pro. - but that was enough to get me properly incentivized to dive in and just hook it up.
I'll save you some time and tell you, you need to download your favorite media player on your phone, Open that up, load your music library onto your phone, and then you can go ahead, hook up the Auris, turn it on, and then give approval to your phone to attach your Bluetooth connection from the Auris to your phone.
THEN YOU ARE DONE, It's ready to enjoy.
Have fun. It works good as long as you are pretty close to your amp and Auris receiver antenna. Otherwise it will drop the connection. No big deal. Just get closer with your phone.
NOTE: Audio quality is better with a direct PC to Auris connection than through a phone and Bluetooth. It's noticeable... if you know what to listen for, and enjoy top quality playback.
That's about it. It's built like a tank, should last forever. A raging bargain if you ask me.
I love it! I've been missing out hearing my music app, only hearing through earbuds but now I can enjoy music all over my home as loud as my Onkyo allows. Very awesome advice and very easy to hook and get working. It took me less than 2 minutes to be blasting my favorite music. It was tough to decide what I wanted to listen to first. So I played music for hours all day and night.
This is a great addition to any analog stereo system, I am using with a Yamaha 1020 and the sound os excellent. Hookup was quick and works great, no lag time. I will highly recommend!
The quality and depth of the sound playing thru my vintage Marantz is well beyond my expectations.
After debating back and forth for a while, I decided to take the dive and give the BlueMePro

It became a very joyful meeting, the BlueMePro sparkled with every note I put through it, and quickly we became like best friends.

So, I've been using some Amazon Bluetooth box for about 6 years. It sounded *fine*, I thought, for Bluetooth, but the range was crap, and every time I walked out of the room it would lose connectivity-- and the insanely loud BEEPS for connect and disconnect were REALLY annoying.
On impulse, I bought the BluMe pro, plugged it in, and played some Handel... AND IT WAS LIKE NIGHT AND DAY! I instantly noticed the difference in sound quality: IT WAS NOT SUBTLE AT ALL! I heard it in the first 10 seconds.
So, I played some other stuff and everything sounded AMAZING. Very happy at this point...but then I tried to stress the connectivity, because that has always been an irritation:
In SO MANY places in the house where the Amazon box would lose signal from my iPhone, the BluMe Pro had no issues.
So I decided to try connecting to my stereo from my computer--which I've never been able to do because it's 60' away through two walls--and my Mac saw the BlueMe, connected immediately, and I was able to play stuff from my Mac with no issues. Amazing!
This little box is worth EVERY PENNY!
It works as advertised. I easily sync to my old Marantz, and it sounds great! I put off buying it for too long.
On the fence? Just do it!

This device has transformed my music library and unlocked my long dormant files. I am so happy with this purchase and look forward to many more years of enjoyment.
The product was easy to install but with only a technical hiccup from my tablet during the pairing mode. The sound volume needs to be amped up in relation to other input devices, but no worries. I am happy to now be able to stream from anywhere in the globe my favorite music channels.
The setup was easy. It sounds great thru my Bose Wave system. im thinking of getting another for my main system.
Bought this to connect to my 70’s Marantz 2262b as a transmitter to stream Reel to Reel tapes, Records and Cassettes to a Smart Speaker I got my wife for Christmas. Lots of what I have isn’t available on streaming services but the Amp is down the hall across the house in my ‘man cave’, and Bluetooth speaker is in the Kitchen. I took a gamble that it would have the range and it works FLAWLESSLY! Excellent sound quality and quick connection! I couldn’t be more impressed! It also is an except quality Bluetooth receiver but I bought it for the transmitter capability, and it doesn’t disappoint!
I like that I can attach to a vintage receiver, and have a way to control volume, and play my iPad, phone music files, TV etc . It's working fine so far. Having fun mirroring iPad YouTube music videos to TV, and bluetoothing audio from tv to vintage stereo receiver. I Only used for around 6 hours so far. It seems to be accurate, don't hear any unwanted background noise. It's clean sounding to my 63 year old ears. No complaints, hope it lasts.
