Reviews
So far I've only used it with ApplePlay, and it sounds terrific and I LOVE the fact that it's output is far higher than typical cheap bluetooth receivers... along with of course the higher end DAC. I'll be connecting the sub out soon. Thanks Auris!
I like it and for the price and the available options I am pleased. I’d make some tweaks and improvements of course but it does what I wanted it to and they advertised it would. I have several options for playback. Apple Music is rightfully kept out of any ad photos but the IOS blocking it’s inclusion should be started outright. I knew because of the photos and knowing apple. I also knew it has Airplay and is fine. Not everyone will know that. I’d buy another if needed.
I have and love my BluMe Pro. I also purchased an Audifi in order to be able to use Airplay over wifi.
I had never considered in the past a Bluetooth or WiFi enabled audio receiver for my system. I became interested in Hi-Res Audio files from Apps like Tidal, Apple Music, etc. recently. I was heading down the path of Bluetooth until I uncovered the fact that with iPhone does not support hi-resolution uncompressed files via Bluetooth. APTx and competing Bluetooth rendering CODEC are lossy and compressed. I was excited to learn, however, that my iPhone can transfer Lossless Audio via Airplay and/or via WiFi. The auris audifi fills the bill with both WiFi enabled and Bluetooth connectivity. I have purchased a Dongle with lightning connector to enable MQA decoding from my iPhone. I plan to connect this via the extra "Line In" inputs on the audifi to take advantage of the analog rendering post MQA decoding. Again, the audifi has the extra analog input for this application as well. I love the system and very easy to configure to my Theater Audio system Network via WiFi. The 4Stream App is nice and allows alternate control of the unit as compared to the IR Remote. Would highly recommend this device.
Love the Auris products, own 4-5 of them. The Bluetooth devices look great, love the curved design. The wireless devices are boxy and less visually appealing. Also, the display on the device is not legible. NBD, but I would pay more for a legible display, even artwork.
