10 movie inventions we want to own NOW!

Not only do we love beautiful sound at Auris, like most other people our love for food, books, automobiles, movies and great gadgets is noteworthy as well. It has lead great friendships here, debates and pride for “Me first!” rights as well. And when there is a combination of interests and people the results are spectacular!

Take Movies and Technology. This week we list the 10 best movie inventions the human race deserves to have in the near future.

 

Lightsaber – Star Wars (1977)

Invention: Energy blade that can cut through almost anything like a hot knife through butter. Makes a distinctive enchanting hum as it moves.

How we’d use it:Slice toast for breakfast then ward off evil after. Can’t fight baddies on an empty stomach? Use the FLDSMDFR!(below)

Transporter – Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979)

Invention: Teleportation Machine of the Star Trek universe. Matter-energy-matter conversion for travelling fast with minimum fuss.

How we’d use it:Are you kidding?? Bye bye LV traffic!! Mwahahaha

DeLorean – Back To The Future (1985)

Invention:Doc Brown’s amazing garbage-powered flying time machine on wheels! Sure there were the hover boards and the self-tying laces too, but the DeLorean is our personal dream ride to the future and past.

How we’d use it:Go back in time to whenever we’ve bungled and upset the wives. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned! We’re going to need a lot of Garbage, Plutonium or both …

Active Camouflage – Predator (1987)

Invention: A fascinating technology that renders its wearer nearly invisible. Perfect for hiding in plain sight.

How we’d use it:Perfect when you need some peace from the kids in the comfort of your home. Use that empty corner and move like a ninja!

The Neuralyzer – Men In Black (1997)

Invention:Say hello to the Neuralyzer. This tiny device with a bright flash, promptly erases memories of recent past hours, days, weeks, months or years, depending on the chosen settings. Now “Look right here, Sir.”

How we’d use it:Some bar conversations should never have existed. *Bleeep!*

How we’d use it:Learn Wikipedia in a week and cooking, Japanese, Quantum Mechanics and Kung-Fu faster than the time it takes to make instant noodles.

Invention:The Floyd Lockwood Diatonic Super Mutating Dynamic Food Replicato, or FLDSMDFR in short. Imagine using microwave radiation to transform water into food. Incredible. 

How we’d use it:Fix up a snack or two for us and feed the world. Yeah. We are nice :D

Lightcycles – Tron: Legacy (2010)

Invention:By far the coolest bike in movie history, the Lightcycle is a construct of information in a digital world called the Grid. Primarily used for sadistic sport in Tron.

How we’d use it:Take it for a spin with Daft Punk blaring from a custom built zwing. Will decimate errant programs if time permits.

How we’d use it:World domination, here we come.

Invention:Hiro Hamada’s microbots controlled by neuro transmitters. Capacity for limitless applications in construction, transportation and much more by thought. WHOA!

How we’d use it:Procrastinate and build in Berserker mode all day. Will sip beer for added comfort while bots are at work.
